Nottinghamshire’s Twenty20 Cup quarter final against Kent has been postponed until tomorrow.
Despite the best efforts of head groundsman Steve Birks and his staff, the waterlogged playing surface at Trent Bridge made it impossible to play this evening.
In an unprecedented move, the ECB took the decision to postpone the tie for 24 hours given the exceptional circumstances.
The match will now go ahead at the earlier start time of 5.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday) and all tickets sold for tonight’s match will still be valid.
If any supporters with tickets are unable to attend, these will be valid for any remaining Notts fixture at Trent Bridge this season or a full refund will be provided.
