Trent Bridge was host for the launch of a new Social Awareness Youth Enterprise Scheme in Bulwell.
The project, which is being driven by the Victoria Centre in a joint initiative with Crime Concern, involves 40 youngsters from the Bulwell area working in small groups to identify anti-social behaviour problems in the area and then working to find solutions to address the problems.
Working alongside the groups will be businessmen and women who will act as mentors offering guidance and support on a voluntary basis, including Notts Business Development Manager Mark Worrall and Hospitality Co-ordinator Wayne Marchant.
The project is also offering some of the young people an opportunity to take a Breakthrough Apprenticeship, with various Nottingham companies giving paid work over a short period of time to a member of the project.
