Jason Gallian got the reward for plenty of hard work in the winter with his 23rd first-class hundred for Nottinghamshire in the LV County Championship clash with Leicestershire.
The 35-year-old hit 150 to help put Notts in a commanding position on day two and was pleased some technical work in the off-season had paid off.
He said: “I made one or two technical refinements in the winter and they helped me get my feet moving. It was very rewarding to get a big score and hopefully it will turn out to be a match-winning one.
“Pre-season went pretty well for me and it’s always good to start the summer on this kind of note. Mark Wagh and David Hussey helped stamp our authority on the Leicestershire bowlers and we will be looking to push on from here and get a victory under our belts.”
