Modern great and World Cup winner Tammy Beaumont has more than 250 caps for England in all formats, and is one of the most experienced and high-calibre members of The Blaze’s squad.
Born in Dover, she played sporadically for her home county of Kent between 2007 and 2019, before becoming one of the first players to sign for Lightning upon its formation in 2020, when women’s domestic cricket was reorganised into the regional model.
Since her England bow on a tour of the West Indies in November 2009, aged only 18, Beaumont has hit more than 7,000 international runs, averaging north of 40 in ODI cricket, and was voted as Player of the Tournament as England lifted the World Cup in 2017.
She was appointed as an MBE in the 2018 New Year Honours List, before also being honoured through her naming as a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 2019.
Beaumont has remained in the East Midlands for her domestic cricket ever since arriving in 2020, including throughout the transition from Lightning to The Blaze, though she does also count past appearances for Southern Vipers and Surrey Stars on her CV.
Although limited to 11 appearances for The Blaze in 2025 due to her international commitments, she still enjoyed a prolific season, scoring back-to-back unbeaten centuries in the Metro Bank One Day Cup for a total of 438 runs across the summer in both formats.
