Living Nottinghamshire legend Luke Fletcher joined The Blaze’s coaching staff upon his retirement from a 17-year playing career at the end of the 2024 season.
Born in Bulwell, just six miles from Trent Bridge, Fletcher debuted for the Green and Golds aged just 19 in 2008, and went on to appear in a total of 325 matches across all formats.
Within that, he claimed 645 all-format wickets for Notts, and received his county cap in 2014 before being awarded a testimonial year in 2023.
He was part of the Nottinghamshire sides that won the 2010 County Championship and the 2017 One Day Cup, as well as being involved in Trent Rockets’ 2022 triumph in The Hundred.
Under Fletcher’s tutelage as a coach, a number of The Blaze’s promising seam bowlers have continued to flourish, with Cassidy McCarthy proving a particular breakout in 2025 alongside the likes of Academy graduates Liv Baker and Amy Wheeler.
