Bolton-born James Cutt is The Blaze’s Director of Cricket, an all-encompassing position he has held since February 2022.

The end of Cutt’s first season saw the then-named Lightning team move their operational base from Loughborough to Trent Bridge and become known as The Blaze.

Since then, both the first XI and the second XI have tasted T20 glory, and the squad has been further improved with multiple signings, including the likes of Georgia Elwiss and Amy Jones.

Cutt was formerly a Coach Developer with the England and Wales Cricket Board, a role he first took on in conjunction with a 12-year stint in various coaching development roles at his home county of Lancashire.

He is also a Trustee of the Trent Bridge Community Trust, and enjoys following his beloved Bolton Wanderers in his spare time.
