Seamers Grace Ballinger and Charley Phillips have been recognised for their outstanding performances in 2026 with selection to the Metro Bank PCA Women’s Team of the Year.

Ballinger, 24, and Phillips, 23, were instrumental to The Blaze’s historic treble-winning season, claiming 51 and 52 all-format domestic wickets, respectively.

Phillips claimed 29 of her scalps in the victorious Metro Bank One Day Cup campaign, second in the overall standings, and added a further 10 in The Blaze’s similarly-triumphant Vitality Blast.

She also won The Hundred title with Trent Rockets, making her - along with The Blaze teammates Emma Jones and Georgia Elwiss - one of only three players to win every single trophy available in 2026.

Meanwhile, left-armer Ballinger returned 24 wickets in the One Day Cup and 20 in the Vitality Blast, with her haul in the latter competition coming at a superlative average of just 11.20.

The PCA Most Valuable Player Rankings selects a well-balanced side with MVP points from all domestic competitions, including The Hundred, taken into consideration.

The MVP takes into account batting, bowling, and fielding contributions, as well as match-defining efforts using a unique algorithm developed by CricViz.

Phillips received 226 MVP points, narrowly ahead of Ballinger’s 225, with Yorkshire’s Jess Jonassen captaining the side after collecting the most points of any individual player with 449.
