Former Warwickshire and England cricketer, Ashley Giles, is the guest at the November meeting of the Nottingham Cricket Lovers’ Society.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 12 November at 7pm in the Derek Randall Suite at Trent Bridge.

Ashley made his debut for Warwickshire in 1993 and spent his entire domestic career at Edgbaston, helping the Bears to the Sunday League in 1997 & the B&H Cup in 2002.

He was capped in 54 Tests & 62 One Day Internationals and is one of a small group of England cricketers to have recorded both 100 wickets and 1,000 runs in his Test appearances.  He was a member of the Ashes winning squad of 2005 and hit the winning runs off Shane Warne in the nail-biting Trent Bridge Test.

Ashley retired through injury in 2007 but immediately embarked on a successful post-playing career as a coach, administrator and leader in the game. He has worked with Warwickshire, Lancashire and England and for the past 3 years has been CEO & Director of Cricket at Worcestershire

Everyone is welcome at meetings of the Society. Individual membership costs £20 per year for an adult, £30 for a couple and £5 for juniors. Non-members are very welcome to attend an individual meeting at a cost of £10 in cash on the door.
