Nottinghamshire U18s pushed their Leicestershire counterparts close at Lady Bay, but were ultimately defeated in two T20 friendlies.

The margin of victory was just six runs in the second match of the day, with the Foxes having posted 180/9 from their 20 overs.

There were two wickets for right-arm paceman George Lowe, with the remainder of the seven-strong attack picking up a wicket apiece as captain Darius Fanibanda’s 75 anchored the innings.

In reply, Krish Patel top-scored with 37 and the Outlaws required 10 runs from the final over for victory, but a fine final set from Ben Macleod-Smith saw the visitors home.
