Dillon Pennington will represent Welsh Fire in the 2026 edition of The Hundred after he was selected in Thursday’s Vitality Wildcard Draft.
Pennington, 27, was part of the Trent Rockets squad that reached the final of the competition last year, and has also previously represented Birmingham Phoenix and Northern Superchargers.
The seam bowler has claimed eight wickets at 28.25 apiece in six appearances in this season’s Vitality Blast as Notts Outlaws sit second in the North Group.
In his sole innings with the bat, against Lancashire Lightning at Emirates Old Trafford, he struck 37 not out from 18 balls.
Pennington will join up with the Fire in time for their first match of the competition, away to Southern Brave at Utilita Bowl on Wednesday 22nd July.
