Tom Banton says he can’t wait to land back at Trent Bridge as Trent Rockets gear up for four more fun-filled matchdays in Nottingham.
“It’s obviously great to be back here for the third year in a row!” said Banton, who has played for the Rockets since 2024.
“I joined up with the boys yesterday and we’ve just travelled to Birmingham, where we’ve had a good training session this afternoon.”
The competition has undergone a sizeable change this year, with the introduction of the Auction seeing many players switch teams and a large number of new players join the Rockets.
“There are a lot of familiar faces, but some new, and of course some of the guys have been here before,” said Banton.
“My Somerset captain, Lewis Gregory, is here, so it’s great to have him with us, and Craig Overton too. It’s really exciting.”
Banton is thrilled by the new additions, and he believes the quality in the Rockets’ camp will help drive their push for success.
“Our tournament gets underway on Friday night, so hopefully we can start well and keep that momentum going,” he said.
“It’s going to be an exciting three weeks, and I’m looking forward to getting back to Trent Bridge to see all the home fans.”
“We’re really excited to get back there, we’re really well supported, and we love it. We’re hoping that those four games go our way so we can get four wins in front of our own fans!”
Trent Rockets’ first home matchday takes place on Sunday 26 July at Trent Bridge. Tickets are already at limited availability, with bronze tickets sold out.
