Liam Patterson-White described his approach to bridging the gap between white- and red-ball cricket as “the same skillset with a different mindset.”

The all-rounder cracked a fine unbeaten 76 to lead Nottinghamshire to a doughty 184 all out on day one against Surrey on a sticky pitch at the Kia Oval.

He described the pleasing feeling of his innings, the confidence taken across the team from the fightback, and how the morale in the dressing room remains high heading into day two.
