Olly Stone claimed his new best figures for Nottinghamshire as his 6/44 helped the visitors rip through Surrey and take the initiative on day two at the Kia Oval.

Stone was backed up well by two scalps for Dillon Pennington, as well as one apiece for Brett Hutton and Liam Patterson-White, as the Brown Caps were bowled out for 162.

That gave Notts a first-innings lead of 22, and by stumps, the Green and Golds had extended that to 169 via an unbroken fourth-wicket stand of 70 between Jack Haynes and Joe Clarke.
