Faith Teekasingh’s 71 from 77 balls wasn’t enough to prevent Lancashire’s Academy from prevailing over The Blaze in a 50-over friendly at Lady Bay.
Teekasingh hit ten fours and one six at the top of the order as The Blaze sought to chase down the target of 244 set by Lancashire, ultimately falling 23 runs short on 221/9.
Teekasingh had taken a wicket in the Lancashire innings, with two scalps apiece for Isla Williamson and Emily Carpenter, as Lancashire reached 243/9 from their 50 overs.
