Liam Patterson-White masterfully struck a run-a-ball 165 as Nottinghamshire 2nd XI racked up the runs on the second day of their friendly against Durham at Notts Sports Club.

After rain kiboshed the opening day’s action, Patterson-White profited once he was finally offered the opportunity to bat, notching 15 fours and seven sixes to lead the Green and Golds to 410-9 declared in just 89 overs.

Sammy King also contributed 96, sharing a partnership of 227 with Patterson-White for the fourth wicket, combatting seamer Brett Hutchinson’s 4/49.

Patterson-White continuously scored his runs above a strike rate of 100, reaching fifty in just 45 balls after lunch before marching to three figures from only 93.

His 150 arrived in 147 deliveries, before his standout innings was ended by George Drissell’s spin late into the afternoon.

The hosts added a further 78 in the 11 overs that followed, before a declaration allowed them 13 further overs to bowl at Durham.

In that time, Tom Giles bowled Callum Parkinson for two, before the north-eastern outfit closed on 33-1, 377 in arrears.
