Nottinghamshire's women secured one win from two in a rain-affected double header at Blidworth Colliery CC.

The hosts completed a two-run victory over Staffordshire in a fixture reduced to nine overs per side, making 71/5 from their allocation.

Rhiannon Knowling-Davies' 29 from 18 helped elevate Notts to a total which proved out of reach for their opponents.

Staffordshire amassed 69/4 in their chase, with Ruby Neal taking two wickets and Knowling-Davies conceding just three runs from the final over.

Knowling-Davies took two wickets in the day's second encounter, against Derbyshire, but the visitors' 159/3 from 20 overs proved sufficient.

Diya Badge's 18 was the Green and Golds' top score as Notts were dismissed for 120 inside 19 overs.
