Nottinghamshire are through to the quarter finals of the U18 Girls County One Day Cup courtesy of a 60-run win against Leicestershire at Flintham Cricket Club.
Evee Mae-Hicklin scored 92 off 76 balls batting at eight, while Harriet Maxwell claimed 4-29 from seven overs to help defend 254.
Despite rattling along at six runs per over batting first, Nottinghamshire were 119/6 after 20 overs with Diya Badge, Annie Williams, Ella Porter and Olivia Baker all making starts before their demise.
Meghna Rejan played foil to Hicklin’s assault, though, facing 62 deliveries for 17 runs in a partnership worth 73.
And Hicklin was able to farm the strike after Rejan departed in the 37th over, adding 35 with Olivia Wade and 20 with Ruby Neal.
In response, Leicestershire were reduced to 46/5 as Maxwell claimed four of the first five wickets to fall.
Lucy Weston offered resistance with 45, while Lucinda Hunter mustered 51 in the lower order but by that point the damage had been done, with the visitors bowled out for 194 with a little over eight overs remaining.
