Haseeb Hameed and Ben Slater each hit unbeaten half-centuries as Nottinghamshire’s Second XI cruised to a ten-wicket win over Leicestershire at Lady Bay.

The visitors added 11 to their overnight 320/9 before last man Julius Sumerauer was caught by Sam Seecharan off James Hayes.

Set 156 to win, the Notts openers made light work of the final-day chase.

As Hameed strolled to a composed 60*, Slater was the aggressor, hitting 17 boundaries in the course of compiling 92* from 58 balls.

It was the left-hander who hit the match-sealing single as the hosts wrapped up the win before the scheduled lunch interval.
