Jack Haynes hit his fourth half-century of the Vitality County Championship campaign, as Notts finished day one of their Vitality County Championship match against Somerset on 326-8 thanks to an important eighth-wicket stand from Calvin Harrison and Olly Stone.
Haynes was full of praise for his team-mates, who showed steady resilience to compile a forceful fightback after Notts lost a cluster of middle-order wickets in quick succession in the afternoon.
