Teenage all-rounder Freddie McCann revealed his pride in completing a hat-trick of debuts for Nottinghamshire and Notts Outlaws in 2024, securing a first wicket and fifty in the Vitality County Championship contest at Durham.
McCann tallied 51 at three for Notts as Haseeb Hameed's side were put under severe pressure by a well-oiled Durham bowling attack, who limited their visitors to 220/8 by the close of day two while Lyndon James rallied late on with a half-ton to see Notts through to day three.
McCann revealed that he didn't expect to make debuts in all three formats, but was pleased by the confidence shown by the dressing room in his abilities.
