Conor McKerr has joined Notts Outlaws on a two-week limited overs loan deal ahead of the Vitality Blast.
The Surrey seamer will join the Outlaws squad for training before their T20 opener against Derbyshire Falcons at Trent Bridge on Friday 26 May.
He provides cover for the injured Olly Stone and Luke Fletcher, the latter of whom is undergoing minor surgery on an ankle injury.
Jake Ball is, meanwhile, continuing his rehabilitation back to full fitness.
“Conor is a good fit for us in the short term with the attributes he’ll bring to the team,” Head Coach Peter Moores said.
“He adds quality and depth to our squad as we work on getting some of our players back to match fitness.”
To date, the 25-year-old has played 12 matches in the shortest format, collecting nine wickets.
In 2022, he claimed four wickets in three games for Surrey, averaging less than 16.
“It’s a good opportunity for him, in a really exciting time of the year for us as a squad,” Moores continued.
“We have a good record in the T20 format and we are really looking to get things going on Friday.
“It’s a rivalry game under the lights on a Friday night, and we are always well supported at Trent Bridge, so the lads can’t wait to begin.”
