Calvin Harrison completed an innings of 90 as Nottinghamshire moved into the lead on the third day of their Second XI Championship clash with Leicestershire at Lady Bay.
Harrison resumed on 74*, with Tom Loten retiring not out on 55 to join the first team squad at Northampton, and came within ten of a three-figure score before being removed by Hishaam Khan.
Sammy King fell lbw to Roman Walker, with Ben Wilcox compiling an unbeaten 18, before rain forced a premature conclusion to the day's play.
Fewer than 20 overs were possible before the umpires signalled an end to proceedings shortly before 2pm, with Notts 212/6 in their first innings.
