Nottinghamshire batsman Ben Slater revealed his relief to record his first ton of the season, as his exact 100 led a competitive opening innings on day one against Kent.
Slater - pleased with the consistency shown by the batting lineup on the opening day - also tipped the cap to Tom Moores, who recorded back-to-back First Class fifties to end the day on 72 unbeaten.
