Nottinghamshire seamer Dane Paterson has been recalled to South Africa's Test squad for their two-match series in New Zealand.

The right-armer, who has passed 50 First-Class wickets in each of his three summers at Trent Bridge, has previously earned 14 caps across all formats for his country.

Paterson's two Tests to date came against England in early 2020, claiming the scalps of Ben Stokes and Joe Denly amongst others as Joe Root's visitors ultimately earned a series victory.

South Africa's series at the home of the Blackcaps begins on 3 February 2024.
