Nottinghamshire's U18s will enter the final day of their three-day fixture against Leicestershire hoping for the swift wickets that will trigger the start of a fourth innings chase at Lady Bay.

The visitors compiled 329 in their first innings, anchored by Jamie Dunk's 141 from 196 deliveries.

Drew Owen mopped up the Foxes' tail to finish with 4/29, with Akand Gangorta taking 4/53.

Notts neared parity in reply, amassing 315 with a starring role from Freddie McCann (139).

Opener McCann has recorded a wicket in each Leicestershire innings - and he removed dangerman Dunk in the contest's third innings.

Thomas Giles, currently boasting figures of 2/10 from six overs, removed the Leicestershire top two, with Farhan Ahmed also taking two wickets, as the Grace Road outfit reached 174/7 at stumps on the penultimate day, leading by 188.
