Notts romped to victory in the opening game of the Metro Bank One Day Cup competition against Essex Eagles, and Dane Paterson praised the simplicity of the team's approach at Chelmsford.
The South Africa international, who took four wickets, also praised Academy graduate Ben Martindale for his work alongside Ben Slater in laying a platform with the bat.
