Match winner Matthew Montgomery credited batting partner Dane Paterson for withstanding substantial pressure in the closing overs of a fiercely contested Metro Bank One Day Cup win at Kent.
Scoring 92 from 84 balls, Montgomery's magnificent innings helped Notts Outlaws over the line by just one wicket and with one ball to spare, alongisde a superb supporting act from Paterson.
Montgomery felt that his side always felt within reach of the 260 run target, but a heavy loss of wickets left them on the back foot with the hosts closing in on a decisive delivery to snatch victory.
