Nottinghamshire’s Ben Duckett has been included in a 15-man squad for England’s upcoming Vitality IT20 Series against New Zealand, for which Trent Bridge will host the fourth and final match.
Duckett retains his place in the national squad for the shortest format having impressed for the Three Lions in Pakistan over the most recent winter.
The left-hander struck 233 runs across seven games, with an average of 49.60 and a strike rate of just under 160.
Duckett is joined by Josh Tongue, who joins the Green and Golds at the end of the season, as well as Notts academy graduate Luke Wood, seamer John Turner, and batter Dawid Malan who have all been with Nottingham-based Trent Rockets throughout August in The Hundred.
A limited number of tickets remain for the fixture against the Blackcaps at Trent Bridge, and can be secured here…
A 15-man squad has also been named for the Metro Bank One-Day International Series, which includes Ben Stokes after the all-rounder reversed his decision to retire from the format.
England Men’s National Selector, Luke Wright, said: “We have been able to name two extremely strong squads that underline the depth of talent we enjoy in white-ball cricket.
“The return of Ben Stokes only adds to that quality with his match-winning ability and leadership. I am certain that every fan will enjoy seeing him back in an England ODI shirt again.
“We’re also excited to give first international call-ups to both Gus Atkinson and John Turner while Josh Tongue has deserved a place in the T20 squad after impressing during the Ashes.
“Any series against New Zealand is closely fought and will provide us with an ideal opportunity to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the world.”
