Joe Clarke admitted Notts need to dust themselves down and improve having lost by 55 runs to Birmingham Bears at home in the Vitality Blast.
The opener scored 86 but professed there was a responsibility for him and other batters to go on to bigger scores given the belief the dressing room had to chase down a comprehensive first innings score of 261.
And the 25-year-old has backed his Outlaws to fight back with games in quick succession against Lancashire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
