Joey Evison was left to savour his day on the South Coast after notching up a maiden First-Class ton as the Green and Golds took a substantial first innings lead over Sussex.
The 20-year-old added a first century to his maiden five-wicket haul last summer as he helped put on 144 for the ninth wicket with skipper Steven Mullaney, who himself hit a career-best 192.
