With Nottinghamshire in a strong position following two days of their East Midlands derby against Derbyshire, Haseeb Hameed says lower order runs could hold the key to a victory push.
The England opener laid the platform with 57 in an overnight total of 256-7, handing the home side a 107-run lead with two days to go.
With Ben Duckett unbeaten on 69, Hameed believes further first innings runs on the board tomorrow would provide just the tonic for the bowling attack to gun the Green and Golds towards victory.
