Trent Bridge’s stalwart historian, Peter Wynne-Thomas, has endorsed the 2021 edition of the Nottinghamshire Cricket Annual, describing it as “the equal of any”.
Wynne-Thomas, a former editor of the title and himself an author of significant repute, points to an increased quantity of editorial content – including a first-person account of the 2020 season from the club’s Head Coach Peter Moores – as a compelling reason to pick up a copy.
“Despite the paucity of matches in 2020, Michael Goulder, the current editor, has thoroughly covered all meaningful cricket played in the county or by Nottinghamshire clubs outside the county boundaries,” said Wynne-Thomas.
“However, with some spare pages available, he has added a number of articles, which will be of interest to cricket fans in the county and indeed elsewhere.
“For the last three years, the annual has been published under the auspices of the Nottinghamshire Cricket Lovers’ Society and apart from the annual issued since the 1890s by Yorkshire, we believe readers will regard the Notts publication as the equal of any.
“If any readers feel that we could improve, please contact the editor on mike_a_goulder@btinternet.com if you have any comments, adverse or otherwise.”
