Notts Outlaws and their three fellow semi-finalists will try again on Sunday after no play was possible on Vitality Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston.
The Outlaws are due to contest the second of the last four fixtures against Lancashire Lightning, but Dan Christian’s men must first await the conclusion of Surrey versus Gloucestershire.
The opening game has been pencilled in for an 11am reserve day start. Games can be shortened to as little as five-overs-per-side, with bowl-outs also an option for separating the sides if necessary.
Sky Sports are remaining in position for a sabbath day broadcast. Definitive written, pictorial, audio and live scorecard coverage will be provided via Trent Bridge Live…
With the ECB, the four teams, the host venue and the broadcast partners committed to their attempts to ensure that the competition is completed on the field, an additional reserve day of Wednesday 7 October has been inaugurated, to be used in the event of none of the three games being completed tomorrow.
