Notts Outlaws have announced the signing of Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim for the remainder of the T20 Vitality Blast season.

The spinner has enjoyed a storied career in limited overs cricket, as his imposing statistics prove...

42.72 – Wasim’s ODI batting average

Wasim's average is the seventh-highest of any player in Pakistan history. He also recorded a batting average of 54 in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup at a strike rate of 118.24.

Wasim currently sits fourth in the ICC's ODI all-rounder rankings.

5/14 – Wasim’s best T20 bowling figures

The 30-year-old recorded his best figures in a T20 international against West Indies in 2016. This was the first time a Pakistan spinner had taken five wickets in a T20 international.

Wasim removed Evin Lewis, Andre Fletcher, Marlon Samuels, Kieron Pollard and Carlos Brathwaite as Pakistan recorded a nine-wicket victory.

Wasim's wickets often come as a result of miserly spells of bowling - his economy rate in T20 international cricket is 5.86.

1 – Season for Wasim in the Notts Premier League.

Luke Fletcher was opening the batting for Papplewick and Linby when Wasim signed for a stint in 2007.

Wasim took 14 wickets and hit a top score of 101* in his time at Hall Lane.

He played against Jake Ball when the Welbeck Wizard turned out for his home club, but it was Ball’s older brother Jono who dismissed the then-captain of Pakistan’s under 19s.

2016 – the year in which Wasim won the Caribbean Premier League

The left-armer was part of a triumphant Jamiaca Tallawahs squad, alongside Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara and Dale Steyn.

A year later, he would enjoy individual recognition from his country, being named the 2017 Pakistan T20 Player of the Year.
