Trent Bridge Community Trust’s YouNG Project has today announced a hugely successful Christmas market in West Bridgford as its young entrepreneurs and performers sold Christmas gifts and kept the crowd entertained.
With 8 stalls, the entrepreneurs took over £500 between them, selling a range of gifts from 3D Christmas decorations to homemade festive cards.
While the entertainers sang classics from All I Want For Christmas to I Wish It Could Be Christmas, keeping the crowd entertained on the cold November day at the Christmas market on Gordon Road in West Bridgford.
The YouNG project enhances the employability skills of young people between the ages of 13 and 21, with the Christmas markets offering a great chance for local young entrepreneurs and performers from secondary schools around the Rushcliffe area and beyond to showcase their abilities.
“We had a very cold, but very successful day,” said Max Emerson of the YouNG Project.
“In particular, the Christmas Extravaganza was a huge success, featuring numerous visitors to Santa’s grotto as well as performances from Rattle and Roll and a flash mob organized by Rebecca Hart from Dance Equation."
