Trent Bridge will be informed of its major match programme from 2020 to 2024 following today’s ECB board meeting.
Every international cricket venue in England and Wales submitted bids to the ECB in December before delivering a presentation in January with a view to securing their preferred major match package.
Those bids and presentations were independently graded by the ECB’s High Profile Match Group who will make recommendations to the ECB board today.
Matches to be allocated include five Ashes Tests in 2023 Ashes as well as Pakistan, India, New Zealand and South Africa Test tours.
The eight core venues for the ECB’s new Twenty20 competition, to be staged in addition to the all-county Vitality Blast from 2020, will also be confirmed.
