Nottinghamshire’s Second XI were bested by Derbyshire in their Second Eleven Championship game at Swarkestone.
Resuming day three on 120-7 some staunch resistance from Lydon James and Matt Carter, with the latter making 52, saw Notts finish on 215 all out after being reduced to 94-7.
The home side were set 157 to win and knocked the total off with four wickets in hand from 58.4 overs.
Matt Carter claimed another four wickets in Derbyshire's second innings, taking his total haul for the match to eight.
The defeat leaves Notts sixth in the Second Eleven Championship North Division with just two games remaining.
