Ben Kitt continued his fine form in 2016 as he ripped through Yorkshire’s batting line up to end with figures of 6-43 and set up a final day victory push.

The fast bowler, who recently signed a two-year professional contract, helped bowl Yorkshire out for 107 in their second innings.

That came after Nottinghamshire edged out an 11-run first innings lead thanks to half centuries for Liam Patterson-White and Anuj Dal.

Kitt and Matt Carter (2-2) then combined to skittle through the hosts, leaving Nottinghamshire with 96 to win their final game of the season.

However, Matt Fisher (3-16) took three quick wickets as the visitors closed on 44-4, Dal unbeaten on 23 and Tom Keast not out eight.
