Nottinghamshire’s Academy slipped to a 154-run defeat against Radcliffe-on-Trent today having been undone by a pair of bowlers, each with strong connections to the Club.
Notts were bowled out for 89 in 45 overs with former Outlaw David Lucas taking 2 for 13 from nine overs, while current Academy leg-spinner Connor Marshall bit off the hand that feeds him with figures of 3-17.
Captain Paul Franks top-scored with 23 prior to becoming one of four dismissals to the off-spin of Usman Muzaffar, another man with Nottinghamshire connections having played for the Club’s Second XI last season.
