A fifty from Paul Franks and 42 from Tim Wyatt were the highlights of a rain-affected draw with Nottinghamshire Premier League newcomers Hucknall Cricket Club.
The Academy were put in to bat first with Wyatt anchoring the top order push, eventually falling for 42 when he was run out by Robin Maxwell, the visitors falling to 92-4 as Anuj Dal was LBW shortly after.
Franks showed all his class in compiling a fifty and alongside the lower order runs of Ben Kitt (20) he helped post a competitive total.
Franks eventually fell for 79 as the visitors posted 227 all, Joshua Downie (4-25) and Suhail Ahmed (3-66) the pick of the bowlers for Hucknall.
The Academy made quick inroads, reducing Hucknall to 32-2, but Scott Harris (40) and Dale Campbell ensured there were no further worries for the hosts.
Despite Harris departing alongside Robin Maxwell (13) and Richard Greatorex (0), Campbell remained unmoved and had reached 70 not out.
The expected rain then intervened and the decision was made to abandon the game, both sides earning 12 points and Kitt ending with 2-37 for the Academy.
