Jake Libby will captain Nottinghamshire’s Second XI into their opening fixture of the Second XI Trophy campaign against Warwickshire at Notts Sports Club today, with an 11am start.
The twos have already faced Warwickshire in white ball cricket this season when an experienced Bears side emerged victorious from two entertaining T20 encounters, with Brendan Taylor scoring explosive half-centuries in both fixtures.
With Taylor having been selected for the first team squad travelling to Durham, Libby will lead a youthful batting order as the Outlaws aim to get their 50-over competition off to a winning start.
Academy seamer Liam Patterson-White could make his second debut in a bowling attack that is also set to feature Luke Wood and Ben Kitt - as well as young leg-spinner Connor Marshall and Kimberley all-rounder Dominic Brown who starred with bat and ball in recent back-to-back T20 victories over Lancashire.
