Will Gidman struck an unbeaten 137 as Nottinghamshire' Second Eleven posted 367-8 at the end of the first day of their Second Eleven Friendly match against Kent.
Gidman, batting at four, found himself at the crease inside the morning session, after Jake Libby (20) and Billy Root (28) lost their wickets before lunch.
From then on, Gidman was unmoved. He started at the crease with trialist Joe Barrett - the opener making a 128-ball 50 in a partnership worth 86, before being caught of Weller.
Gidman reached a 92-ball 50 alongside Anuj Dal, but despite losing another saw through until tea unbeaten on 79.
Kent claimed three wickets after the restart, including two in two balls for Matt Hunn. Connor Marshall then joined Gidman who completed his century with Notts 297-7. The form batsmen then saw Notts past 350 with a boundary, before seeing out the session alongside Matt Carter.
