Magic spells from Anuj Dal (3-12) & Riecko Parker-Cole (3-17) sealed a 131-run victory for Notts' Academy over Mansfield Hoisery Mills, a result that saw them jump to fourth in the Premier League table.
In the 17th game of the season, Notts posted 222 after losing the toss and being put in to bat.
Lyndon James top-scored with 66, having struck eight fours and one six, while Jack Blatherwick struck 33 off 29 balls in the lower order.
Matt Wright took four wickets for the Millers, while Elliot Bowles pouched three for 53.
Mansfield wilted to 91 all out in reply, from 26 overs, as Notts’ bowling attack had a field day; right-arm medium-fast Anuj Dal and left-arm Reicko Parker-Cole taking three wickets apiece, while Anis Raza and Ben Kitt each bagged two.
The win, Notts’ second in as many games, leaves the side six points ahead of fifth-place Kimberley Institute and 36 off West Indian Cavaliers in third.
Next up for the Academy is a home match against seventh-place Caythorpe on Saturday.
Notts Outlaws will face the Essex Eagles in the quarter-final of the NatWest T20 Blast, with a 6.30pm start at Trent Bridge tonight.
