Stuart Broad is set to face Leicestershire Foxes in the NatWest T20 Blast on Friday night.

The 28-year-old has been made available for selection by the England & Wales Cricket Board following the conclusion of the Investec Test series against New Zealand.

Broad, who last played Twenty20 cricket for Notts in 2010, adds to an Outlaws contingent of current internationals for the match that is also set to include Alex Hales, James Taylor and Darren Sammy.

The right-arm paceman last played in white ball cricket for his county in the final of the 2013 Yorkshire Bank 40 at Lord’s, taking 3-29 in the 87 run victory over Glamorgan.

Although Broad is not available for the away fixture against Worcestershire Rapids on Sunday, he is expected to be available for the LV= County Championship matches against Somerset and Yorkshire ahead of the Ashes.

Taylor and Hales, meanwhile, are available for selection against the Rapids prior to joining-up with England ahead of their Royal London One-Day Series against New Zealand. Moeen Ali is likely to feature for Worcestershire having also been made available for selection.

Broad is not the only England international that has been made available for Friday, with a host of stars set to feature in the round of matches across the country.

Joe Root and Jos Buttler could square off in the Roses Match at Headingley on Friday night – a fixture that will also feature an Australian showdown between Yorkshire’s Glenn Maxwell and Lancashire’s James Faulkner.

The programme will also allow Durham fans to acclaim their new England hero Ben Stokes against Blast holders Birmingham Bears in Saturday’s televised match at the Emirates Durham ICG, after he has also played under the Derbyshire floodlights the previous night.

Eoin Morgan and Steve Finn will boost Middlesex’s hopes of building on their impressive recent Blast form in consecutive away games at Hampshire and Glamorgan on Thursday and Friday before the England one-day squad assembles in Birmingham at the weekend.

Sam Billings, David Willey and Jason Roy will also hope to contribute for their counties on Friday night at Beckenham, Northampton and the Kia Oval respectively.
