Jake Libby will resume on 225 not out when Nottinghamshire’s second eleven continue their championship game against Warwickshire at Edgbaston on Wednesday.
Libby, who has already made two first class appearances for Cardiff MCCU, outshone Sam Kelsall who constructed a fine knock of 147 before being trapped lbw by Paul Best while Will Root was unbeaten on 86 at the close.
Nottinghamshire’s overseas recruit James Franklin could only watch from the balcony as he prepares to get more overs under his belt with a view to making an all-round contribution when Notts Outlaws face Leicestershire Foxes at Trent Bridge on Sunday.
Nottinghamshire will resume on day two on a mammoth 485/1.
