Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce a significant expansion to their partnership with Central College Nottingham.
This will see students on hospitality and catering courses make use of Trent Bridge’s world-class facilities.
September 2014 will see the beginning of full-time courses in professional cookery and hospitality, while part-time courses in food service, food safety and customer service will start in November 2013.
“We are delighted to work in partnership with Trent Bridge,” said Principal Malcolm Cowgill.
“The venue provides an excellent opportunity to inspire young people in education, and Trent Bridge’s ability to host some of the biggest events in the world of sport make it an excellent environment for students to start their career in catering and hospitality.”
As part of the deal, students will be able to gain valuable experience of the events and hospitality industry by working at events at the venue.
“We are looking forward to welcoming the students to Trent Bridge,” added Trent Bridge’s Commercial Director Justin Tose.
“We’re proud to be able to strengthen our ties with one of Nottinghamshire’s leading further education colleges.
“We hope that this underlines our commitment to our work to ensure the local community benefits from the hosting of international cricket at Trent Bridge.”
Central College have sponsored Nottinghamshire’s Academy’s kit for the last three seasons, and this will continue as part of the new deal.
