Australian Big Bash side Sydney Sixers have announced the signing of Notts batsman Michael Lumb for this winter’s KFC T20 Big Bash League.
This will be the third time Lumb has joined up with the Sixers, and will join a squad which boasts the likes of Brett Lee, Brad Haddin and Mitchell Starc.
Lumb helped the Sixers to the T20 Champions League trophy in 2012, and picked up the Golden Bat for most runs scored in the tournament.
“I’m delighted to be rejoining the club,” said Lumb.
“We have a really strong side and if we play to the best of our best abilities then I see no reason why we can’t replicate the success of our first season. That’s our target.”
Also joining the Sixers will be Surrey’s Chris Tremlett, and both players will be available throughout the Big Bash period, pending selection for the England Ashes and T20 squads throughout the Australian summer.
