Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell has re-launched the Club’s fitness and conditioning intern scheme after its successful introduction last season.
The scheme provides hands-on experience for aspirant fitness professionals seeking a career in professional sport and serves to equip them with the experience required to forge as career in the industry.
“We’re keen to increase the capacity of our strength and conditioning work under the leadership of Kevin Paxton and this scheme allows us to do that whilst giving experience to those who want to consider it as a career option,” said Newell.
“The fitness of cricketers has improved immeasurably since my playing days and it is vital now that we provide the best possible physical training to improve match performance.”
Applicants for the scheme will need to hold a sports science degree or REPS level 3 gym qualification.
