Andre Adams and Ben Phillips will return to the Nottinghamshire team to face Middlesex when the LV= County Championship returns to Uxbridge on Wednesday.
Harry Gurney and Andy Carter complete the seam attack with Paul Franks and Luke Fletcher left out.
“Adapting from white ball to red ball can be difficult for the batsmen but I would hope that Andre and Ben will find their groove after the mid-season break we’ve been able to provide for them,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
“It is very important to preserve experienced seam bowlers for four day matches and they will be crucial to our chances of doing well in this competition.”
Alex Hales will open the batting alongside Riki Wessels having recovered from a quad strain with Chris Read resuming his captaincy having allowed Adam Voges to lead the Outlaws’ charge to the quarter-finals of the Friends Life t20.
Graeme White is also included in the squad although Samit Patel’s availability may affect his chances of selection.
Michael Lumb and James Taylor will complete the Notts top four against a Middlesex side who sit fourth in Division One with three wins and four draws from eight matches.
“Middlesex played well at Trent Bridge and put a high price on their wickets which makes them a very difficult team to beat,” said Newell.
“The next three weeks could define our season and we have to be ready to adapt to the formats and do ourselves justice.”
