Notts Outlaws could name an unchanged team when Yorkshire Carnegie visit Trent Bridge for Sunday's Friends Life t20 encounter (play starts 2.30pm).
Graeme White, Jake Ball and Luke Fletcher are all on standby to come into the team but a comprehensive victory over Derbyshire Falcons may lead to calls for stability.
Andy Carter will expect to keep his place after returning figures of 4-20 in Friday's win over Derbyshire Falcons.
"We had Andy Carter in our plans for this competition since pre-season and there is a lot going for him in limited overs cricket," said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.
"He is a bit of an unknown quantity to opposing teams and he has some unusual attributes that challenge batsmen."
Newell acknowledged that Yorkshire will pose a significant threat as Notts Outlaws look to secure successive wins to kick-start their campaign.
"Yorkshire have a relatively young side and they will be very athletic in the field," he said.
"Ryan Sidebottom has added experience to their bowling attack and we're expecting a stern test."
Star turns David Hussey, Adam Voges, Chris Read, Samit Patel and Alex Hales will all feature in a Notts batting line-up loaded with talent.
